Over a two-year period, the project for the comprehensive delivery and implementation of advanced systems for the Nyumba Ya Mungu hydroelectric power plant was successfully completed. A particular challenge and success of the project was the execution of works while maximizing the plant's operational readiness, without long-term production outages.
Equipement Delivered
The system is based on modern technological solutions that ensure high reliability and safety of the facility:
- Main control cabinets and server infrastructure.
- Protection cabinets for generators and the 66/33 kV substation.
- 110 V DC generation and distribution system with associated battery sets and LV distribution cabinets.
- Control cabinets for butterfly valves.
- Ergonomic desks equipped with modern operator and engineering workstations.
Scope of Work
- Preparation of complete detailed electrical documentation (execution project) for all systems.
- Development of dedicated PLC applications and an intuitive SCADA system for visualization and control.
- Professional supervision of equipment installation on-site.
- Factory and field testing of all subsystems to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Phased implementation and commissioning until full operational availability of the power plant was achieved.
- Comprehensive staff training for the safe operation and efficient maintenance of the new systems.
